Transatlantic Heroes

Transatlantic Heroes After the great success of our essay competition, “Three Years Barack Obama – Change Missed?”, we are proud to announce a new round of the competition. The title of this year‘s competition is “Transatlantic Heroes”, and deals with the influence of Germans in America and Americans in Germany. Who has influenced the political, societal, cultural, or economic levels of the other side of the Atlantic Ocean in an extraordinary way? Who is your “Transatlantic Hero?” In comparison to last year, this essay competition is organized in a transatlantic manner. 20,000 flyers and 100 posters in over 90 universities in the USA and Germany show our effort to achieve a real dialogue between our nations.
Student exchanges, intensive trade relations, and a common defense alliance: The German-American friendship exists on political, societal, cultural, and economic levels – day in and day out.
