A group of our members visited the Russian Embassy in Berlin to exchange views about foreign policy issues in the context of Euro-Atlantic security. We had a diplomatically correct, substantially controversial, and surely interesting meeting with the „First Secretary for International Security.“ Topics included the legal status of Crimea, hybrid warfare in Ukraine, the stability of the Baltic States, Russia´s perception of NATO, and freedom of the press.
Although we differed substantially on a variety of issues, we believe that it is of crucial importance to establish lines of contact and dialogue. We agreed to continue this format in the future. We would like to thank the Russian Embassy for the kind invitation.
