Today, four years ago, a few friends came together to send a signal, make a commitment, remember the old historic ties to shape the Euro-Atlantic fundament of tomorrow. While we intentionally founded the Initiative junger Transatlantiker / Young Transatlantic Initiative on D-Day, remembering Operation Overlord as a starting point of the American effort to free Europe from the war and disastrous ideology that Nazi-Germany brought to the world, we wanted and want to underline that our mission is to find ways how both sides of the Atlantic can work together in the upcoming decades. We remember the past, but our DNA is to look into the future.
With 450 members, we foster transatlantic relations in the younger generations on both sides of the Atlantic. We will continue to do so!
