Homeland and President Obama’s Foreign Policy: Fiction or Reality?

Since its beginning, the television series “Homeland” became an instant global phenomenon and has sustained its success throughout several seasons. American popular culture is hardly imaginable without it. Barack Obama identifies himself as one of the show’s biggest fans. In this roundtable discussion we will take a closer look at what “Homeland” means for the global influence of U.S. popular culture and how fiction and reality overlap when it comes to President Obama’s foreign policy.
With Jacob Schrot (Initiative junger Transatlantiker / Young Transatlantic Initiative, Founder & Honorary Chairman) and Saba Farzan (Foreign Policy Circle, Executive Director) two avid “Homeland” viewers will share the panel, moderated by Daniel-Dylan Böhmer (DIE WELT).
