The German-Canadian relations are an important pillar of transatlantic relations although they are treated as secondary in the public discourse. As the Initiative junger Transatlantiker / Young Transatlantic Initiative, we want to set an example and involve Canada more in our work by our new Canada Department. Our Officers in brief:
- Tobias Reuter: „Mit der Deutsch-Amerikanischen Freundschaft als Motor muss das gesamte Europäisch-Nordamerikanische Verständnis gestärkt werden. Mit der Einführung des Canada-Office ist einerster Schritt gemacht.“
- Robin Arens: „Ich möchte mit der IjT gemeinsam daran mitwirken, Brücken zwischen beiden Gesellschaften zu schlagen und auf die lange gemeinsame Geschichte aufbauen, die beide Seiten stark geprägt hat.“
